Kerry Charles Pauley Sr.

July 1, 1946 — January 12, 2021

Kerry Charles Pauley, Sr., 74, Reynoldsburg, Ohio, passed away January 12, 2021. He was born July 1, 1946, in Pittsburgh, PA, and was the son of Lee and Kathleen Pauley. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Lee Ann, his father, Lee, grandparents, Charles and Stella Costa, Uncle Eugene Costa and his dear furry friends, Sadie, Gismo, and A.J. Kerry is survived by his wife, Linda Lee Pauley, daughter Shawn M. Rummel (Greg) and sons Darin G. Lawrence (Dawn), Kerry C. Pauley, Jr. (Melissa), Aric W. Lawrence (Christine Duffy), and Lee J. Pauley, grandchildren Danielle (Sara), Kyle (Morgan), Sierra, Gregory (Sofia), Brynna, Connor, Ethan, Hannah, Jack and Ella, great-grandchildren Ellie and Lucah, sisters Sherry Wardzinski (Steve), Char Solosky (Don), and brother Tom Pauley, Uncle Rege Costa, nephews and cousins, and his beloved furry companion, Zoey. Kerry received his education in Pittsburgh and began his career at Harbison Walker. While at Harbison, he voluntarily enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served in Vietnam and Panama. He, with a partner, eventually started Refco/Tradesman Specialty Refractories and served as Executive Vice President of Sales, traveling the United States and Europe. Kerry’s greatest joy, however, was his family. His love had no bounds. He was always available to listen, guide and encourage his five children when they asked (and sometimes when they didn’t!) His is a legacy of deep love and devotion to family and nation, and that legacy will live on through his children and grandchildren. Due to the pandemic, the family met privately to say goodbye to their beloved husband, father and brother. A graveside service and memorial will be held at a later date. Miss Me – But Let Me Go When I come to the end of the Road And the Sun has set for Me, I want no Rites in a gloom-filled room, Why cry for a soul set free. Miss me a little, but not too long, And not with your head bowed low. Remember the love that we once shared, Miss me a little but let me go. For this journey that we all must take, And each must go alone, It’s all a part of the Master’s Plan, A step on the road to Home. When we are lonely and sick at heart, Go to the friends we know, And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds, Miss Me, but let Me go.
