She was born October 22 1971 in Columbus OH and was the daughter of the late Ronald Sparks and Jeanette McCormick.

Africa leaves behind her 3 surviving children, sisters, brothers,etc..: Daughter's: Andrea and Philetta Sparks. Son: Mister Sparks. Grandchildren: Tymere, Cynphonique, Domeion,Taquari,Paris and Tooka Sparks.
