Sunset came early for Alberto Michael Caban, who passed away on June 3, 2025, at the age of
67. Alberto was a man whose sincerity drew people to him far and wide.
A longtime beach lover, Alberto found great joy when there was sand between his toes and
ocean breezes on his face. Whether walking on the shoreline at sunrise, casting a fishing line
into the surf in the afternoon, or listening to waves crashing onto the shore at sunset, he
believed there was no better place than to be than at the beach enjoying good times with good
friends.
Dogs held a special place in Alberto’s heart. He admired their loyalty, their simple joy, and the
way they brought people together without saying a word. Whether it was the comfort of a
familiar nuzzle or the energy of a playful pup, dogs always seemed to remind him of what
mattered most—companionship, trust, and living in the moment.
Alberto was a die-hard Yankee baseball and Dallas Cowboys football fan. Further, he was also a
devoted sports card collector, with a particular passion for baseball cards. What began as a
childhood pastime blossomed into a lifelong pursuit, fueled by his love for all sports. From rare
vintage finds to the latest rookies, his collection wasn’t about monetary value—it was about
nostalgia, history, and the thrill of discovering a hidden gem.
Alberto was also passionate about physical fitness, hitting the gym six days a week with
unwavering dedication. His healthy lifestyle extended beyond workouts—he was just as
disciplined in the kitchen, favoring nourishing meals like rice and beans paired with chicken or
fish. It was a routine that reflected his commitment to strength, energy, and well-being.
Alberto's career was anything but conventional. From managing auto insurance claims to selling
hair products and swimming pools, and even working in bustling restaurants and upscale health
clubs—his professional journey was a vibrant tapestry of experiences. But where he truly shined
was in sales. A natural talent with unmatched charisma, Alberto sold timeshares year-round and
confidently claimed that, given enough time, he could sell one to anybody.
An avid traveler with a curious soul, Alberto found joy in exploring the world’s beauty and
culture. His journeys took him across the globe—from the sun-drenched coasts of Costa Rica to
the historic streets of France, Italy, and Ireland. He relished strolling through quaint European
villages just as much as exploring the vibrant pulse of cities like Las Vegas and San Francisco.
Every destination offered him a new story, a new flavor, and a deeper appreciation for life’s rich
tapestry. His passport was more than a collection of stamps—it was a testament to his
adventurous nature.
A charming ladies’ man by nature, Alberto also had a tender heart—especially when it came to
the elderly. He was always ready to lend a helping hand, showing genuine kindness and respect
to seniors whenever the opportunity arose.
He had little interest in material possessions and embraced the beauty of a simple life with ease
and gratitude. Content with what he had, Alberto found fulfillment in experiences,
relationships, and the everyday moments that didn’t come with a price tag.
To cherish his memory, Alberto leaves behind a loving family, great friends, and a community
that supported him through their concern and kindness. The family would like to thank
everyone who lent a hand to Alberto when he needed help; and to thank the many physicians
and nurses who watched over him and gave him excellent care.
In lieu of flowers, his loved ones ask that you take a walk by the oceanside, rescue a dog, feed
the birds, enjoy a sporting event, or tell a good story about him. That’s how he would’ve liked to
be remembered. Alberto will be dearly missed.
