Alison T Humphreys

Alison T. Humphreys, age 30, of Columbus, Ohio, left this earthly plane much too soon at her home on March 2, 2026. She was born on June 7, 1995, to Curtis and Cathy Humphreys both of whom survive her. She is also survived by her grandmother, Mary Lou Mellen, aunts, Laurie (Rob) LeClaire, Carol (Doug) Pretorius, Cheryl (Mark) Mellen-Cantrell and uncle, Mike (Michele) Mellen. She leaves behind best friends, Marie Lance, Lily Weist and Breanne Bussard along with numerous cousins, good friends and co-workers. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Joe Mellen and Richard and Barbara Humphreys as well as uncle, Rick Humphreys.

Alison grew up in Delaware, Ohio, where she attended Delaware City Schools K-12. She graduated from Rutherford B. Hayes High School in 2013. During her four years of high school, Alison was a team member of the color guard and winter guard serving as co-captain during her senior year. She was also a violinist in the orchestra.

She received an Associate of Arts Degree from Columbus State Community College in 2015. She continued her education by receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in 2017 and Masters Degree in 2022 from The Ohio State University, both degrees in social work. She then obtained her independent license in social work.

Alison’s career includes positions at Creative Foundations, Lutheran Social Services CHOICES and Mary Haven. At the time of her passing, she served as supervisor at Nationwide Children’s Hospital Child Assessment Center.

In recent years, Alison had grown to love quilting and sewing, finding joy in being creative. The loves of her life though were her fur babies, Herbie and Sage. A celebration of life will be held on June 7, 2026. Time and location will be shared as that date approaches.
