Amy Ressler

September 22, 1973 — April 9, 2024

Amy Ressler, a beacon of laughter and love, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2024, in Columbus, Ohio, at the age of 50. Born on September 22, 1973, in Abilene, Texas, Amy was the cherished daughter of Jackie and Larry Johnson, who lovingly survive her.

She was the beloved wife of Travis Ressler, and together they shared a life full of happiness and devotion. Amy was survived by her daughters, Sophia Buchanan, Sydnie Bonner and her husband Dominick Bonner, and Inara Ressler. Her role as a grandmother to Wyatt, Kasen, Meilani, and Tateum was one she embraced with every ounce of her being, showering them with endless affection and wisdom.

A proud graduate of Heritage Baptist Academy, Amy carried the values of her education throughout her life, spreading kindness and compassion wherever she went. Amy's siblings, Jason Johnson and his wife Michele, along with Melissa Sima and her husband Bryan, will always remember their memories spent together. Amy is also survived by her nieces, Maddi, Gabby, and Becca, along with her nephew Gavin.

She found immense joy in spending time with her grandkids and family, creating memories that will be cherished forever. Her big heart extended to all, and she lived by the simple philosophy of doing anything for anyone. Funny, loving, kind—these words only begin to describe the extraordinary person that was Amy.

Her sense of humor was a gift that she shared generously, lifting the spirits of those around her.

Amy's legacy is one of love and laughter, and it will continue to echo through the lives of those she touched. Amy, thank you for the laughter, the love, and the kindness. Your memory will forever be a treasure.
