Anthony Lee McDonald

Anthony Lee McDonald, 35, of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away on April 23, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the beloved son of Lee “Sonny” McDonald and the late Brenda Wolford (Thompson).

Anthony was known for his deep love of the outdoors. He especially enjoyed fishing, visiting every waterfall he could find, and spending quiet moments with a good book. He also enjoyed writing poetry.

Anthony was preceded in death by his mother, Brenda Wolford; his brothers, Cole Grieves and Rick Ball; and his grandmother, Janet Roberts.

He is survived by his father, Sonny McDonald; his stepfather, Joe Wolford; his brothers, Brian Grieves and James McDonald; his sister, Abby Skaggs; his step-grandfather, Dale Roberts; as well as his loving aunts, uncle, and four nieces.

Anthony was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
