Betty Sue Scanlon was born January 29, 1945, in Amherstdale, West Virginia to the late William Clifton and Rebecca (Walter Thompson) Stanley. Betty passed away, June 28, 2025, in Circleville, Ohio.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Teresa Lynn Hurst Bush, siblings: Sylvia (Ronald) Cox, James Clifton, Thomas Clifton and niece, Monica Clifton.
Betty is survived by her loving husband, James Scanlon, children: Tracy (Missy) Hurst, Scott (Kelly) Hurst and Beth Hurst, grandchildren: Blake (Danielle) Hurst, Dani (Brooks) Heath, Britney (Trey) Copeland, Emily (Nick) Roberts, Sarah Hurst, Joey (Sarah) Russolillo, Anthony (Jodi) Russolillo, Nicole (Zak) Fenneken, Kasi (Seth) Green, James (Tristan) Green, Jacob Bush and Mackenzie Bush, great-grandchildren: Aiden, Will, Maelee, Rylan, Cooper, Nova, Amelia, Dominic, Eloise, Austin, Gabriel, Aria, Jaxon, Raylan. As well as siblings: Wanda (Carl)" Bair and Shirley Justice, special friends: Deanna and Cathy, Church Members at Grace of God Lutheran Church and numerous nieces and nephews.
Betty worked for many years and retired from Superior Beverage Group. She was very involved with her church. She loved to read, feed her squirrels and birds, watch horse racing at Scioto Downs, go to the Casino, play Bingo and spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her favorite color was purple.
