Beverly Ann Bird

With tremendous sadness, we announce the passing of Beverly Ann (Boarman) Bird, age 72, of Greenfield, OH, on August 25, 2026, due to complications following a recent surgery.

Bev was feisty, sassy, and strong- willed, which helped her excel at being a cousin, “Nanny” and “Aunt Bebby.” She was known for being the fun one and would often load up a car full of kids to take to Back Creek, Hagerstown Park, or Turner’s Skating Rink for a day of silliness and laughter. Her quick wit, infectious laughter, and playful spirit could light up any room.

Bev was also a gracious, generous host and an amazing cook. Whether it was a lavish feast or simple winter roast, you always knew you could stop in and be greeted with a warm smile and a hot plate. She was known for her scratch-made gravies and hot bacon dressing.

Bev was a beautiful soul and was happiest surrounded by nature. As a true West Virginia girl, the Appalachian Mountains and hills held a special place in her heart. Bev also had an adventurous spirit. She enjoyed whitewater rafting, tubing, hiking to waterfalls and bodysurfing. However, in her later years, she found peace just sitting by a creek, pond, or fountain watching the hummingbirds, dragonflies, butterflies, bees, and birds.

Beverly is survived by one daughter, Raven Whitney Tettemer and husband, Justin of Greenfield, OH; one son, Jeremy Dayley and wife, Kim of Dover, PA; three grandchildren, Desarae Imgrund and Derek and Kierston Dayley; two great-grandchildren, Jason and Ariel Imgrund; one brother, Donald Boarman of Falling Waters; 3 beloved family dogs, Sophie, Annie, and Gertie; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In accordance with her final wishes, no services will be held; however, the family will be creating a Celebration of Life book and building a Purple and White Memorial garden for her at her home. The family is encouraging everyone to send photos, letters, fun stories, etc. to include in the book.
