Brian Thomas Regan Stark

Jul 4, 1941 — Jun 17, 2026

Brian Thomas Regan Stark (born Thomas Regan Stark) passed away peacefully on

Wednesday, June 17, 2026, a few weeks before his 85th birthday.

Brian was born July 4, 1941, in Sycamore, Illinois, to Frances Merle Stark and

Monroe Leroy Stark, the oldest of three brothers. He is predeceased by his

brothers Bill Stark and Robert Stark. Brian is survived by his wife, Karen V. Stark;

his children, Jennifer Stark and her partner Vaughan Landrum; Gregory Stark,

his wife Amy Ruppert Stark, and their daughter Emma Stark; his sister-in-law,

Nannette Stark; and his niece, Molly Stark.

Brian earned a Political Science degree from Northwestern University and an

MBA from Harvard Business School and spent the majority of his adult life in

Birmingham, Michigan. After a long career at Ford Motor Company in finance

and strategic planning, he transitioned to consulting for a number of startup

companies, most recently Ultimate Battery Company. He was known for the

dedication he brought to everything he cared about including the Board of the

International Primal Association and involvement with his Harvard Business

School local chapter. Brian was deeply proud of his children, instilling in both of

them a lifelong love of learning. By nature, Brian was social and outgoing, and he

never stopped working on himself. He approached his own life the same way,

with curiosity, optimism, and a genuine belief that there was always more to

learn. In 2022, Brian relocated to Columbus, Ohio, to be closer to family.

A memorial service will be held Monday, June 29th at Peace Lutheran Church, 455

Clark State Road, Gahanna, OH 43230. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon, the

service at noon, and a light reception afterward.
