Carl Douglas Allen
Carl Douglas Allen, known affectionately by his friends and family as Carl, was born on March 5, 1961, in the charming town of Waverly, Ohio. He passed away peacefully on September 21, 2023, in Chillicothe, Ohio, following a courageous and lengthy battle with cancer.
Carl was born on March 5th 1961 to Tommy Allen and Pauline (Patrick) Allen in Waverly Oh. After Carl graduated from Eastern High School he enlisted into the Navy. His Navy career lasted from 1986 to 1995, he was so proud to have served his country. After his retirement from the Navy Carl continued to be a hard work driven man. Carl was last employed at Mid Atlantic Storage. He loved his job, his co-workers, and all the friends he made along the way. His love was widely known by everyone he ever met.
Carl was an exceptional man who had an unwavering dedication to his family. His love for them was immeasurable and he made it a point to go above and beyond for them on a daily basis. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a doting grandfather, a caring brother, and a loyal friend. His love extended beyond his immediate family to include his cousins, nieces, and nephews. Carl's dedication to his family was a testament to his generous heart and caring nature.
Carl was also a man of many interests. He had a passion for golfing, a sport that he took up in his early years and continued to enjoy throughout his life. He loved the challenge of the game and the camaraderie it brought with his friends and family. He was often seen on the local golf courses, perfecting his swing and enjoying the great outdoors.
Besides golfing, Carl had a great love for traveling. He saw it as a way to learn about different cultures, meet new people, and create beautiful memories. His travels took him to various parts of the world, enriching his life and giving him a broader perspective.
One of Carl's greatest joys in life was spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was their biggest cheerleader, always there to support them in their endeavors and celebrate their achievements. He cherished every moment he spent with them, whether it was playing a game of catch in the backyard or reading them a bedtime story. His love for his family was evident in these moments, and it is these memories that his loved ones will hold dear.

Carl was predeceased by his loving wife Sandra Kay Palm Allen, his father Tommy Allen, his mother Pauline Allen, Grandparents, and others as cousins, Aunts, and Uncles. He is survived by his children John Allen, Kaitlyn Allen, and Jacob Allen. Step children Stacey Turnock, Skyla Underwood, Shane Pennington, and Sloane Palm. Also survived by his brothers Tommy Allen and Don Allen, his sister Nancy Combs, his grandchildren, Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
We celebrate the life of Carl Douglas Allen, a man whose love, kindness, and strength touched the lives of many. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the memories he has left us.
Per the last wishes of Carl Allen no services will be held, but a celebration of life. The date for his celebration of life will be announced at a later time. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that a donation on Carl's behalf be made to the American Cancer Society.
