Charles “Chuck” Robitaille, 62, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, lost his battle with pancreatic cancer. God called him home to Heaven on Friday, November 18, 2022.
Chuck was born in Los Angeles and lived in Southern California most of his life. He held a successful career with Firestone that spanned from his teenage years throughout his entire adult life. He started as a part-time tire mounter while still in high school, and with hard work and dedication, he advanced into multiple positions which included brake mechanic, inside sales, and leadership - including store and regional management.
His favorite way to spend vacation time was camping and fishing with his sons. He also enjoyed taking his sons to numerous IndyCar races, with the added excitement of meeting several drivers in the pit. For relaxation, he enjoyed tinkering in his yard and tending to his garden, one that always produced the most delicious tomatoes.
Chuck is survived by his mother Phylis (John) Lightner, stepmother Kaye Robitaille, brother Steve (Anna) Robitaille, uncle Frank (Gale) Robitaille, his three sons - Charles (Remy) Robitaille II, Brian Robitaille, and James (Jiyeon) Robitaille, three grandchildren and three nieces. He was preceded in death by his father (Emmett) and his brother (Robert).
Memorial service to be held at a future date in San Diego, California.
And he said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.” (Luke 23:43)
