Charles Carrell

Charles Carrell, 82, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2026, at his home, surrounded by family.

Born on December 25, 1943, in Coeburn, Virginia, Charles was the beloved son of Charles and Susan Carrell, and brother to 3 siblings. He lived a life defined by kindness, integrity, hard work, and unwavering devotion to those he loved.

He was a proud employee to the State of Ohio Division of Commerce before retiring. Throughout his life, he was known for his strong work ethic and loyalty.

He is survived by his daughter, Brittany Ulrich (Carrell), 4 grandchildren; Sister in Law Jackie Chase (Scadden), Nieces Rebecca Robinson, Lisa Pope (Dorsey), Nephew Randall Payne and several great nieces and nephews. He is also remembered by many extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure his memory.He was preceded in death by his wife Gail Carrell (Scadden), his Parents, 3 siblings and 4 Sisters in Law.His legacy lives on through the values he instilled in his family and the countless lives he touched with his compassion and love.Services will be held privately with immediate family in attendance.The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Echo Hospice for their compassionate care and support during his final days.“A life well lived leaves a legacy of love that continues long after goodbye.”
