In Loving Memory of Charles Robert “Rob” Hawkins Jr.
Charles Robert “Rob” Hawkins Jr., age 61, passed away on October 8, 2026, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center following a brief illness.
Rob leaves behind a lifetime of stories, laughter, cherished memories, and a love for his family that will continue to live on through those who knew him.
Rob was a man who appreciated the simple pleasures in life. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and firearms, and was always up for a good action movie. But above all else, his greatest love was his children. They were his pride and joy, and nothing meant more to him than his family.
Anyone who knew Rob knew he had a gift for storytelling. With his quick wit, unforgettable sense of humor, and natural ability to captivate a crowd, he could turn even the simplest experience into a story worth hearing. Whether his stories left you laughing, shaking your head, or wondering just how much of the tale was true, one thing was certain — Rob knew how to entertain. His laughter, humor, and the countless stories he shared will remain treasured memories for those fortunate enough to have known him.
Rob was preceded in death by his parents, Kathleen Conner and Charles Robert “Charlie” Hawkins Sr.
He is survived by his loving children: Jessica and Alex Teiga of Howard; Robbie and Cierra Hawkins of Howard; Josh and Ashley Miller of Howard; Michael Hawkins of Mount Vernon; Logan Hawkins of Danville; Hunter and Juanita Hawkins of Sandusky; and Gabrielle and Jared Hutchison of Willard.
He also leaves behind six beloved grandchildren: Aubrey, Preston, Neveah, Kyla, Liam, and Cooper, each of whom will carry forward a part of his legacy.
Rob is also survived by his siblings, Lissa and Michael, who, along with his children, grandchildren, and extended family, will cherish the memories they shared with him.
Although his passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who loved him, Rob’s legacy will continue through his children and grandchildren. Each will carry a piece of him with them — in the stories they share, the laughter they remember, and the love that will forever connect them.
The love he gave, the laughter he shared, and the memories he created will remain in the hearts of his family forever.
He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
