Charles Michael Robinson

Charles M. Robinson, 67 of Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully in his home on 8/9/2026, with his wife by his side. "Mike" was born 5/11/1959 at The Christ Hospital, Mt. Auburn, in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late James Lee Robinson and Barbara Louise Robinson, nee Rouff. 

He was also preceded in death by his brother, James M. Robinson, uncles Gerald M. Rouff, Leslie Holbrook, Scott Rouff and aunt Bridget Rouff.

 Mike joined the Army at age 17 in 1976 where he served for 24 years, worldwide. He held several titles and received numerous awards, commendations and accolades throughout his years of service until his retirement 2/1/2001. 

Not one to sit still for long, only a few months passed before Mike was back to work, this time, with the State of Ohio. He started as a clerk in the mailroom of the Industrial Commission and retired 20 years later from his Sourcing Supervisor position with the Ohio Bureau's of Workers' Compensation. This time, it stuck. Mike is survived by his wife of 22 years, Shauna Robinson, nee Patterson, mother Barbara L. (Robinson) Koch, son Travis (Christine) Robinson, aunts and uncles Linda Holbrook, Don (Pat) Rouff and Janet Bohannon. In laws Sharon Beatty, Sheila (Donald) Dennis, Shelley (Michael) Latham, Shannon (Tim) Patterson; lifetime friend, Scott Caudill; 10 nieces and nephews, 21 great nieces and nephews and 13 great great nieces and nephews. 

One of his great nieces put it beautifully, 'That's just who he was. Every time he spoke, it either made you feel loved or it made you laugh.' Mike genuinely loved and was loved genuinely by his family. There will never be another and he will be dearly missed by all. 

At his request, there will be no public service. In his honor, please donate to any military, animal, child hunger or Downs Syndrome charities.
