Connie Sue Darling

On Tuesday, April 7th, 2026, Sue Darling of Logan, Ohio completed her journey through life. Born Connie Sue Caldwell on March 5th, 1947 at Mercy Hospital in Columbus, Ohio to Kenneth and Essie Caldwell, she was the youngest daughter out of 6 siblings. She was a dedicated mother and a proud grandparent. She was a dutiful public servant that worked for the Department of Housing and Urban Development for 25 years until her retirement in 2007. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life, Paul Darling Sr. in 2011 as well as by sisters Patty and Betty and brothers Rudy and Kenny. 

She is survived by her children, Nikki Nance and Jay (Olivia) Darling, her grandson Hunter Nance and great grandchildren Ezri Darling, Elim Darling and Alexander Nance, youngest brother John (Kristi) Caldwell, as well as a large extended family. She was deeply loved by her family and friends and she leaves behind a legacy to be proud of and family that will honor her memory. 

The family would like to extend their deepest thanks and gratitude to the staff of Berger Hospital, Fairfield Medical Center and The Pickering House for their dedication to her care. Per her wishes, she will be cremated. There will be a private ceremony in South Carolina in June.
