Connie Hope Richards 73, of Newark, Oho, passed away on May, 17, 2026.
Connie was born on June 16, 1952, to Bob and Irene Easter in Portsmouth. After graduating from Minford High School, Connie began building a life centered around family, faith, friendship, and love
Connie met the love of her life, Robin Richards, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. When Connie first met Robin, he asked her out over and over again, and each time she refused. Finally, Connie agreed to go on a date, knowing she would soon be moving out of state. Even then, she was already smitten, but believed that with her move, their story would not last.
After Connie moved to Florida, Robin drove all the way there because he recognized something special between them. He believed there was more to their story — and he was right. What began as persistence and young love turned into twenty beautiful years together, filled with devotion, memories, and a love that stood the test of time.
Connie was a beautiful soul who lived and breathed for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her family was the center of her world, and nothing brought her more joy than spending time with those she loved most. Connie enjoyed taking cruises with her sister, Marianne, cooking meals for her family, going to church, shopping, and spending time with her dog Sophie.
Connie never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone she met. Her warm heart, welcoming spirit, and incredible sense of humor brought laughter, comfort, and love to so many people throughout her life.
A two-time breast cancer survivor, Connie was a true warrior — strong, courageous, and full of life. She faced every challenge with determination and grace, inspiring everyone around her. Connie touched countless lives through her kindness, strength, and unwavering love, and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Irene Easter; the love of her life and devoted husband, Robin Richards; and her beloved nephew, Robbie Bussa.
Connie is survived by her loving daughter, Missy Starcher (Robbie) of Parkersburg, and her son, Ryan Richards (Jessica Richards) of Pataskala. She is also survived by her sisters, Marianne Sturgill (Dale) of Newark, Tina Castle of Newark, and Barbie Westmoreland (Gary) of West Virginia and her brother Mike Easter (Carol) of Lodi.
Connie leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Tawny McNulty (Ryan) of Belpre, Ryan Richards Jr. of Norfolk, Laurie Richards (River) of Massillon, Jaxon Richards of Dover, and Madeline Richards of Pataskala. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren Syrenti, Jensen, and Everleigh McNulty of Belpre.
Connie is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
