Her children, Jeremy Stake, Travis Thomas, and Zach (married to Mindy) Thomas, were the center of her world. Connie's role as a grandmother was one she embraced with every fiber of her being, doting on her seven grandchildren Brianna, Cayden, Brandyn, Olivia, Isaac, Aubree, Logan and one great-grandchild Love. Her love for her family was boundless, and she found her greatest happiness in their happiness.

She was predeceased by her parents, Boomer and Naomi Smith, but is survived by her devoted husband, James, her loving sons, and her caring brother, Greg (married to Nancy) Smith. Connie's family was her sanctuary, and she nurtured each relationship with tenderness and unwavering support.

Connie's interests were deeply rooted in the simple pleasures of life. She cherished every laugh, hug, and moment shared with her children and grandchildren. Her heart was fullest when surrounded by her family, and she cultivated a home where love, understanding, and patience flourished.
