Darren Oder

 Darren Oder, 60, of Somerset, Ohio passed away peacefully on May 7, 2026 at Morrison House in Zanesville, Ohio, after his courageous battle with cancer. Born on November 9, 1965, in Florida, Darren spent his final years in life honoring the land as a farmhand. 

An avid outdoorsman, Darren was most at home when he was hunting, fishing or simply being around horses.  He lived his life rooted in the outdoors and was known for his dedication to his work in his younger years at Buckeye Lake Truck Stop and 7/37 Truck Stop as a short order cook.

He is preceded in death by his parents Donald Oder, Sr. and Marian Oder (Williams) of Buckeye Lake, Ohio.

He is survived by his brother Donald Odes, Jr or Whitehall and Duane Oder (Gerry) of Cincinnait, his sisters Darla Avery of Kentucky and Tonia Kimble (Oder) of Zanesville; his children Michael Kirkpatrick of Newark, Amber Oder (Reynolds) of Newark, Christina Beasley of Kentucky, Leighann Oder (Cross) of Newark, Tabitha Oder of Newark, Donnie Poole of Perry, Ohio and David Humphrey of Buckey Lake, Ohio. He is also survived by many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed and forever loved by his many family and friends.
