David Edward Bartholow

January 6, 1962 — May 8, 2026

David Edward Bartholow, 64, of Mansfield, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 8, 2026, following a short illness. Born on January 6, 1962, in Columbus, Ohio, David was the son of Frank and Gilma Bartholow.

David attended Lexington High School and spent many years working as a truck driver, a profession that reflected his hardworking spirit and dedication. Outside of work, David was well known for his passion for cars and motorcycles, especially customizing and working on them whenever he had the chance. During the summer months, he and his father especially enjoyed taking their classic cars to local car shows together, something that brought him a great deal of pride and happiness. Whether in the garage or gathered with friends and family, he was always happiest surrounded by laughter, stories, and good company.

David will be remembered for his larger-than-life personality, quick wit, and unmistakable sense of humor. He had a way of becoming the center of every conversation, often cracking jokes and keeping those around him entertained. Ornery at times but always full of heart, David left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. His fun-loving nature, generosity, and ability to make people laugh will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his father, David F. Bartholow; his sister, Diana Naumoff and brother-in-law Phillip Naumoff; his daughter, Jennifer R. Marquard and son-in-law Brandon M. Marquard; and his beloved granddaughters, Mya and Alora Marquard.

David was preceded in death by his mother, Gilma Bartholow, and his wife, Linda Jordan.

His memory will live on through the stories, laughter, and love he shared with family and friends throughout his life.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
