Deborah S Teets

Deborah S. Teets, 73, of Bucyrus, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. She will be remembered for her love of people, her love of music, and the many friendships she made throughout her life.

Deborah was born on April 6, 1953, in Shelby, Ohio, to William and Bonnie Wolford. She grew up in Galion, Ohio, and graduated from Galion High School with the Class of 1971. During high school, she excelled as a member of the choir, and her love of singing and music remained a lifelong passion.

Deborah shared nearly four decades of love and companionship with her husband, Michael Teets. Together since 1986, they were married on February 24, 2001, and built a life filled with laughter, adventures, and cherished memories.

She worked at Galion Hospital and later found fulfillment providing in-home health care to the elderly for many years.

Music was one of Deborah's greatest joys. She loved attending churches to hear Southern Gospel concerts and especially enjoyed listening to The Inspirations and the GloryWay Quartet. She was also a lifelong admirer of Paul McCartney and The Beatles, whose music brought her countless hours of happiness.

Deborah never met a stranger. She loved conversation, meeting new people, and forming friendships with people around the world through online chats.

She also enjoyed treasure hunting at garage sales, spending time with her beloved cat, Phoebe, and making unforgettable memories with Michael. One of their favorite traditions was visiting Cedar Point together, where they shared many happy days—including an incredible 22 visits during the 2019 season.

Deborah is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Michael Teets; her son, Scott Wolford; her stepdaughter, Julie (Ben) Rexroad; her grandson, Tyler Rexroad; and many extended family members and dear friends whose lives were enriched by her kindness and friendship.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Bonnie Wolford, and her brother, Bill Wolford, Jr.

Deborah will be remembered for her kindness, her genuine interest in others, and the friendships she formed throughout her life. Whether she was enjoying a Southern Gospel concert, searching for treasures at garage sales, chatting with friends near and far, or spending time with those she loved, she found joy in life's simple moments. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
