Donita Lynn Bowman

Donita Lynn Bowman passed Sunday, February 15, 2026 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born May 30, 1953, in Knox County, Ohio to Clyde Spearman and Donna (Davis) Spearman, she was one of five children.

She loved all things nature, art, and her family. She took excellent care of her family and home and always made sure everything was just so. She was an excellent seamstress, cook, gardener and crafter and she put the magic in all occasions, always adding that extra special touch. From home made Halloween costumes, to Valentine’s Day boxes, to Easter scavenger hunts, she wanted everything to be perfect, magical and whimsical.

She is deeply missed by her husband of 53 years: Ballard Bowman; her son and daughter in law: Shad and Mechelle Bowman of Phoenix, Az; daughter and son in law: Chelsea and Joe Hoderfield of Surfside Beach, S.C.; Granddaughter and Grandson in law: Kaitlyn and Allan Domec (and baby sprout) of Rensselaer, NY; and Granddaughter Tessa Hoderfield of Surfside Beach, SC. She is also missed by her cats: Stitch and Kit; and numerous squirrels and birds.
