Douglas Jack Pemberton Sr

October 26, 1962 — October 17, 2024

Douglas Jack Pemberton Sr. age 61 years of Columbus, Ohio, gained his wings, with his loving wife by his side during the early morning hours on October 17, 2024- after a long battle with cancer.

Doug was intelligent and quick-witted, always known to make a joke- or two. He was an avid reader that enjoyed Stephen King novels, had a love for History and fishing, and enjoyed watching sports and rooting for his teams: the Buckeyes, Reds, and Bengals. He was born on October 26, 1962 and grew up in Columbus, Ohio with his parents and sister. Doug attended Mifflin High School where he played baseball and graduated at the top of his class. He then moved on to serve in the Army for five and a half years and received an honorable discharge. Following his service, he met the love of his life, Teresa. They had two children together and moved to Cardington, Ohio to raise them. During his life, he worked in the Mortgage industry and Maintenance until his illness. After his grandson was born, he enjoyed spending quality time with him and was loving referred to as, "Bappy".

Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife of 36 years, Teresa Sigillo-Pemberton; His daughter and her son- his only grandson whom he dearly adored, Stephanie Pemberton and Nash Berning; One son left to carry his name, D.J. Pemberton; His mother, Tennessee Dean (Moore) Pemberton; His sister, Donna (Ron) Fraizer; Niece Candida Stephens Alexander and nephew Christopher Fraizer; cousins; and his great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bud Pemberton; Son-in-love, Matthew Berning; Paternal grandparents: Jack and Mary Pemberton; and Maternal grandparents: Thomas Sr. and Cora Moore.

To honor Doug's wishes, there will be no services at this time. A celebration of life for family and friends will follow at a later date.
