Eileen Ray

Eileen Ray, age 83, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2026. She went to be with her Lord Saviour Jesus Christ and her husband Tom.

Eileen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tom; her brother, Dick; and her parents, Emil and Sylvia. Though she has been reunited with those who went before her, many cherished memories will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Eileen spent her career serving others in two very different but meaningful roles. She worked as an executive secretary for Nationwide Insurance and later as a nurse at Mt. Carmel East Hospital, where she had the opportunity to work in the ER and in the intensive care unit. She enjoyed cross-stitch, puzzles, cats and watching Jeopardy…she could have won had she ever made it on the show!

As a wife and stepmother, Eileen was part of a family whose memories and bonds will endure beyond her passing. Eileen is survived by her stepchildren: Genia Ray, Anthony (Cheryl) Ray, Tom Ray, Angie Zeis and Lacy (Kevin) Slatzer; grandchildren: Gaige, Jeremy, Beckett and Merrick. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Tonda Coontz and nephews, Heath and Tommy.

A Celebration of Life service and lunch will take place on Sunday, November 8th at 1:00pm at Shades Restaurant in Canal Winchester, Ohio. All are welcome to come and celebrate Eileen’s life.
