Evelyn Jean Yarborough

Evelyn Yarborough passed away on October 26,2026 at Crown Pointe Nursing Facility in Columbus, OH. She was born in Wilmington, OH on September 11, 1946 to Robert L and Marjorie M Gates.

She was a loving mother, who raised her 3 children on her own. She loved The LORD and was a consistent participant in local worship and Bible study services. Evelyn was a hard worker, holding various positions: roofing, a meat packer, shoe/boot packaging and distribution, and child care. Having a love for dancing, she even worked as a Go-Go dancer. Her hobbies included: reading, sewing and quilting, crocheting, word searches, murder mysteries, loved Harry Potter, trips to the park and Yahtzee and a game called "Ding".

Evelyn was preceded in death by her: parents ; siblings: George Gates (Christine);Joseph Gates (Roberta); Joann Gates; Martha Ball (Don); Paulette Gates and her son Paul Davis Yarborough II. She is survived by her: brother Robert S Gates; her two daughters Tammy Collier (Frank) and Andrea Bell (Vernon). Multiple grandchildren: Samantha Purdum(John); Chloe Collier; Quinton Yarborough (Aaliyah); Ciearra Daniels (Nick); Zachary Bell (Natalie); Devon Peck; Tiffany Waite (Matthew); Courtney Yarborough; Joshua Yarborough (Fey-deceased); Ashley Yarborough, Alexander Yarborough and Andrew Yarborough (Danielle) and 15 Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and Friends are invited to celebrate Evelyn's life on Saturday November 7th, 2026 at the Triumphant Church of God. Visitation will be held at 11 am followed by Celebration Services at 12 pm.
