Born July 30 1948- September 10th 2026.

Graduated from Valley Forge Military Academy.
Served in the United States Air Force. Veteran.

He started with the Mt. Vernon Police Department in 1981. In 1988 he made the rank of Sergeant. Sergeant Gerber during his career was a shift supervisor, firearms instructor, has been a sniper on ESU (Emergency Service Unit) Team, and he was a Crisis Intervention Team member.

He graduated from Mount Nazarene College with a degree in business and
earned a Master’s Degree in Business MBA from Ashland University.

He was a Scuba Diver Instructor, and enjoyed sailing. He played guitar and sang with several local bands. He enjoyed rodeo roping, with his horse Buck and was a blacksmith. He studied martial arts and flew both helicopters and airplanes. He also, loved and trained several wonderful dogs over the years in obedience and protection. Last but not least he loved his Harley’s. Rode every chance he got.

Presided in death by his parents Sam and Virginia Gerber.
Survived by His wife Debra Gerber and 3 children. Angellyne Manley, Katelyn Gerber and Colton Gerber.
Grand children: Tristan Manley, Cary’s Manley and Zaylor Manley
