George Elmer Ethell ( 80 years of age) from Hopewell, Ohio; Passed away peacefully on November 25, 2025 in Zanesville, Ohio after a long battle with renal cell Carcinoma surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on January 10th, 1945 in Zanesville, Ohio to the late Floyd and Ruby (Gebhart) Ethell. He was the oldest of four children.
He was preceded in death by his parents and infant twin brothers. He was also preceded in death by many friends.
George graduated from Adamsville high school and was a part of the FFA. He spent much of his life enjoying tractor polls, collecting antique Allis- Chalmers tractors, and farm toys. He enjoyed working on cars, his Corvette and spending time with his grandchildren. He helped start the Country Crossroads Education of Yesterday with his long time friend Kenny Moore; moving railroad cars, train tracks, mowing and anything else that needed done. He was never a man to be seen just resting; he was always involved or doing something with his time.
George Ethell was a loving and committed man. He will be missed by the many people that were in his life.
George will be remembered by his surviving family; Wife of 57 years, Cheryl Ethell, Daughter, Amy Rose, her husband Clinton Rose Jr., and his grandchildren Makayla (Mikey) Rose, Serenity Rose, Brenten (Ryder) Rose, Blake Rose and Carson Rose. As well as his sister Ruth Bower. and his dog Daisy.
