Jacob Peter Claiborne

February 2, 1978 — May 4, 2025

Beloved son and brother, Jacob Peter Claiborne is now in the arms of our Heavenly Father. He passed away suddenly on May 4, 2025 at the age of 47 years old. Born on February 2, 1978 in Prescott Valley, AZ.

Jacob is reunited in Heaven with his father, Alan R. Claiborne, grandparents, R. Emmett Claiborne, Helen Claiborne, Bobby J. Ward, and Donna M. Ward. He is missed dearly by his mother, Sherri L. Willison and stepfather, Donald E. Willison; brothers, Ian B. Claiborne and Amos M. Claiborne; "sister" and lifelong friend, Julie Scartz; stepsister, Abbey (Willison) Jones; stepbrothers, John Adam Willison and Luke Willison; nephews, Samuel D. Claiborne, Dominic Claiborne, and Adrian Claiborne; and many loved extended family and friends.

Some things family and friends remember Jacob for: He loved his Grandmother Ward. He had a fondness for children and animals, especially his cherished dog, Chili. Jacob never said "no" to a friend, and he was always willing to help others in need; he'd always have a cooking or cleaning remedy or hack. He loved music, especially playing the violin. Jacob adored his coffee and all types of foods - from home-cooked meals to international cuisine. He enjoyed all varieties of art and roadtrips. He had a kind heart and loved adventures, people, and life in general. He brought a special light into the lives of all who knew him.

Our hearts are broken, and Jacob will be desperately missed.

To honor Jacob and the groups that had a special place in his heart, memorial contributions in his name may be made to Nationwide Children's Hospital, St. Jude Children's Hospital, or an animal shelter of your choice.
