Jacob Winters

Jacob Eli Winters aged 69 passed away in Columbus, OH on February 14th, 2026. He was born in Dover, NJ and was the son of William Winters and Margaret (Schumann)Winters. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Rosemarie & Juanita Winters and his Wife Marsha(Plantz)Winters. He obtained an associates degree in Civil Engineering. The hobby he most enjoyed was playing chess as he would play at official USCF Tournaments, Online and friends would play at his place of residence. His son is currently an active USCF Member as Jacob taught him to play at an early age. He is survived by his son - Lance Winters {from his ex-wife Olga(Gribanoff)}. He is also survived by his Brothers Paul & Otto and his sister Genevieve Winters.
