James William Simpson, 50, of Texas, formally from Bellefontaine, Ohio, was welcomed by the Lord on February 20th, 2025, at The Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital. He was born in Bellefontaine on September 4th, 1974, to Sandy Lee and James Simpson. He was a 1992 graduate of Bellefontaine High School and Ohio High Point Career Center. He was proceeded in death by his father James Simpson, a daughter Taylor Marie Simpson, a sister Nicole Simpson, and a brother Daniel Simpson. As well as his maternal grandparents Claves and Dorothy Rayles, and paternal grandparents Donald and Goldie Simpson. He is survived by his mother Sandy (Jeff) Lee. Daughters Destanie, Alysha (Aaron), and Cassandra (Kalob). Siblings Tonia Mccullough (Kevin), Misty (James) Lethcoe, and Ryan(Vanessa) Kemper. Grandchildren; Baylee, Liam, Mallory, Nakyla, Bentley, Nahla, Khalaya and Bryden, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.

Jimmy was funny, corky, smart, patient and kind. He liked to fish and had a talented hand when it came to art. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes/Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed watching games on the big screen. He had a love for reading a good science-fiction book, and playing cards. Jimmy also had quite the sweet tooth, anything chocolate was his go-to. 

His departure will leave an unfillable void in his family's lives, yet they find comfort in the memories and everlasting love they shared. The family will receive friends for celebration of life at later date.
