James Donavan Stanley

James Donavan Stanley, 55, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, known to all as Donavan, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2026, surrounded by his family and loved ones, following injuries sustained in an accident near his home. Born on August 27, 1970, Donavan was a graduate of John Glenn High School. He built a career as a Principal AI Architect, but his real work was people. He was the kind of man who showed up — every time, no questions asked. He gave generously, loved deeply, and never asked for anything in return. Donavan was preceded in death by his father, Richard McBride; grandparents Janet and JW McCaig; and an uncle, David McCaig. 

He is survived by his partner of over 20 years, Angela Habegger; daughter Aleisha Stanley (Antonia Piccoli); grandson Everett Hayward; mother Karen McCaig Cornish (Ron); stepfather Bill Stanley; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his beloved girls, Oreo and Snickers.Donavan was an organ donor, giving one last time in the way he lived — generously and without hesitation.
