Jorge E. Davila, 35, of Canal Winchester passed away in a tragic accident on July 27, 2022. Jorge was born on July 22, 1987 to Jorge Davila and Lorena Hernandez Rivera in Merida, Venezuela. He attended and graduated from Merida High School in Venezuela. After completion of high school, Jorge continued his educational journey and completed a Bachelors of Science Management, a degree in System Engineering, and a degree in Computer Science Engineering. He was a proud business owner in the Columbus area, running his own interpretation business. He even won an award for Best Interpreter in Columbus, Ohio. Jorge spoke 3 languages: English, Spanish, and French. His work as an interpreter took him through more than 80 different countries. When he was not working, he enjoyed seeing more of the world and adventuring. His most recent endeavor was sky-diving in Miami, Florida! Jorge was preceded in death by his Father, Jorge Davila. Jorge is survived by his Husband, David Brooks; Mother, Lorena Hernandez Rivera; Grandmother, Zenaida Rivera; Sister, Lorena S. Davila; Brother, Oscar Quintero; Aunts, Marissa and Dulce of Columbus, Ohio; and many cousins. He will be missed tremendously by his Husband, David, their puppy, Pablo, and so many family members and friends. A memorial service will be held at 6pm, Sunday, August 7th, 2022 at 1044 Marquette Drive NE, Lancaster, Ohio 43130. For those attending, please consider wearing “Yellow” as it was Jorge’s favorite color. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
