Judith (Judy) Marie Cayton, beloved wife, mother, JuJu, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 30th, 2025 at the age of 68 at her home, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on September 29th, 1957 in Newark, OH, she was the daughter of the late Norma Hostutler and Phillip Higgins. She grew up in the Buckeye Lake area.
Throughout her life, Judy was a source of unwavering love, strength, and guidance to her family and friends. She married Bradley Cayton on July 29th, 1995 and together they built a life filled with love and cherished memories, while raising two children: Justin & Tyler Covert, who will forever be grateful for her love and support.
Judy had a passion for collecting Cherished Teddies, riding the Harley with her husband, sitting by the campfire and showing off her unique dance moves. Her greatest joy in life was being a devoted JuJu to her grandchildren, a role she embraced wholeheartedly. She was known for her kindness and willingness to help everybody and her signature “Love Ya Bunches” which will always be remembered by those who knew her best.
Judy is survived by her husband of 30 years Bradley Cayton, her children Justin (Raquel) and Tyler (Jamie) Covert, seven grandchildren: Bianca, Calliope, Gavin, Reagan, Averian, Knox & Lennox and one great-grandchild, Elizabeth Marie, sister Tami Rohozen, stepfather Joseph Hostutler along with many other relatives and friends who were touched by her warmth and kindness.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings: Rodney, David & Michelle Higgins.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life service to honor and celebrate Judy, Saturday, November 8th, 2025 at 11 O’clock AM at Christian Life Center, 665 Linnville Rd. Heath, OH 43056.
Immediately following the service, all are invited to attend a celebration at Judy’s request at the Tailgate Club, 351 S. 30th St. Heath, OH 43056 to share a meal, memories and root on her favorite team, The Ohio State Buckeyes. Dress is casual and feel free to wear your Buckeye gear.
