Karri Anne Chinn

May 6, 1974 — February 20, 2026

In every season of life, Karri Anne Chinn was our constant. She was steady, loving, and always there. On February 20th, 2026, the one who never left our side was called to Heaven. Karri will be truly missed by her family, and forever in our hearts.

Karri was born May 6th, 1974 and grew up in Westerville, Ohio, she is loved by her parents, Phillip and Marlene Muse, who survive her, along with her brother, Kevin Muse, and her sister, Kortney Witt.

Karri met the love of her life and husband, Terrance Chinn, 36 years ago. She cherished being a wife and devoted herself wholeheartedly to her marriage. She enjoyed walks and bike rides with her husband and loved running any “errand” with him. She found peace in watching nature together, enjoying the birds and deer in her backyard.

Karri cherished being a mother. She will be deeply missed by the children she loved and raised as her own: Njeri Chinn (Lucius III), Khari (Michelle) Chinn, Naajee Mix (Cortez), and Elijah Mix. She was so proud of each of them and truly believed in their dreams. She supported the life choices her family made, always encouraging them to follow their own paths, knowing she would be there to support and help.

Her greatest joy in life was bringing her family together. She believed that a home filled with loved ones was life’s greatest blessing. Karri was the true definition of unconditional love and acceptance. She was thoughtful and cared deeply about all of us. Karri was the most loving mother-in-law and extended her love as far as it would reach. She is so very appreciated.

Karri loved her family deeply, especially her grandchildren, Lucius IV and Novah Mayfield. She loved spending time with “the kids” and watching them grow, going to parks together, watching Lucius IV play sports, and reading with Novah. Karri was so proud to be their Nana. She also loved her “fur babies,” Spartacus, Nemo, Orion, and Luna, and all of her grand “fur babies,” too.

Karri always gave us something to laugh about, whether it was something she did, something she tripped over, or sometimes the creative things she would make in the kitchen. We all have a favorite meal or dessert that will forever remind us of her. When family was present, she would always have breakfast ready and loved cooking for them. Karri truly enjoyed finding delicious and healthy options for her family to try. We will miss our million phone calls and long talks with her, and we will miss her checking in to see how our day went. We know she will always be in our hearts and watching over us.

Some lives are measured not in years, but in the love they give and the lives they touch. By that measure, Karri lived a life beyond measure.
