Kim Ann Cochran

November 1, 1964 — January 8, 2026

Kim Ann Cochran, age 61, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026, in the very place she was born and called home.

Kim was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald Cochran and Shirley Lindley. She shared an especially deep bond with her father, Ron, whom she loved fiercely and held very dear in her heart throughout her life.

Kim leaves behind her stepmother Pam Cochran, her brothers RT and Erick Cochran, and her beloved children: James (Cassie) Cochran, Melinda (Erik) Floyd, and Travis Rhoads. She was incredibly close to her daughter, Melinda, sharing a bond built on deep love, trust, and unwavering connection. Kim was endlessly proud of all her children and considered them her greatest accomplishments.

She was a devoted grandmother to Isabella, Zoey, Hazel, Evony, Julian, James, Huxley, Declan, Juniper, and Willow. Of all her roles in life, being “Grandma” was the one she treasured most. Each grandchild held a special place in her heart, but Willow was profoundly dear to her. In a moment that speaks to the depth of Kim’s love, she waited for Willow’s final goodbye before peacefully passing on.

Kim was defined by her fierce and loyal love for her children and grandchildren, her unyielding stubbornness, and her bold, unmistakable personality. She loved deeply, protected fiercely, and never apologized for being exactly who she was. Those who knew her knew her strength—and those she loved never doubted it.

She found joy in crocheting, working on her family tree, and watching her grandchildren grow, change, and become who they were meant to be. Family was not just important to Kim—it was everything.

Kim will be remembered as a strong, loving, and devoted mother and grandmother whose legacy lives on through the many lives she shaped with her love.

A memorial service celebrating Kim’s life will be held at a later date.
