Larry L. King Sr.
1951 – 2026
Larry L. King Sr., age 74, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home on August 20, 2026.
Larry was born in Columbus on September 12, 1951, to the late Denver and Maryanna King. He grew up in the area and graduated from Pleasant View High School in 1969. Larry was a remarkably warm, kind, and welcoming man. His door was always open to friends and family alike, and he will be remembered for the genuine hospitality and love he extended to everyone who knew him.
An avid sports enthusiast, Larry was a lifelong, passionate fan of football and baseball. He spent countless hours cheering on his favorite teams: the Cleveland Browns, the Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Cincinnati Reds.
Larry was a deeply loved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle. He is survived by his children: Keith King (wife Caroline), Larry King Jr., Denise King, and Steven Craig King Sr. He leaves behind a rich legacy through his grandchildren: Kennedy King (Braxton Bowden), Claudia King, Danielle (King) Hollar (husband Ronnie), Christopher King (Alissa Bates), Joseph King, Kayla King, Victoria King, Dominic Coleman, Baylie (King) Wiley (husband Jordan), and Steven King Jr.; and his great-grandchildren: Fletcher Bowden, Bronsen Bowden, Violet King, Elle King, Journnei Wiley, and Jurzei Wiley. He is also survived by his sister, Reva Martin, as well as many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Denver and Maryanna King; his sister, Judy King; and his brothers, Rick King and Kenny King.
