Larry L. Schaefer, aged 77, passed away on May 22, 2025, in Columbus, Ohio. Born on July 1, 1947, in San Antonio, Texas, Larry was known for his patient, genuine, and kind demeanor, enriched by a wonderful sense of humor.
Larry's life was marked by his versitile career path. He was truly a jack of all trades, having worked on cars, printers, and computers, written manuals, installed fiber optic cables, and assisted in family establishments during his younger days. His broad skill set and diligent work ethic were admired by all who knew him.
A lover of arts and popular culture, Larry cherished Star Trek, James Bond, and Betty Boop. His artistic talents were evident in his younger days, and he always held a special fondness for the Texas coast, which brought him great joy and relaxation.
Family was the cornerstone of Larry's life. He is survived by his sister, Judy Enderlin; his children, Monica L. Schulte, Jeffrey C. Schaefer, Jon Eric Schaefer, and Lauren L. Phillips; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Larry was proceeded in death by his parents Ruby and Les Schaefer; his grandmother, Millie Schaefer; and his great aunt, Edna Hoeffer.
There will be a private viewing for the family on May 31, 2025. A celebration of life will be held at a later date, where friends and family can gather to honor Larry's memory ad legacy.
