Lawrence Estel “Lance” Cummins, of Parkersburg, West Virginia, passed away on September 23, 2026, at the age of 84.

Born on March 25, 1942, in Parkersburg, Lance was the son of the late Lawrence and Ruth Cummins. He was a man of many talents who lived a spirited life. He loved bluegrass music and could play several instruments, was an avid reader, he was a retired iron worker from Local union 172 and loved his family.

He is survived by his brother James (Hilda) Cummins, his wife of 26 years, Cheryl Cummins; his children, Tanya (Gordie) Monroe, Kelly (Mike) Shook, Andrea (Lynn) Cummins, Amber (Rick) Chambers, Cassy (Heath) Tucker, Ryan (Margaret) Reiter, Adam (Sarah) Reiter, Jordan (Kylie) Reiter, and Travis Rupert; grandchildren, Anne Archer, Randall Arbogast, Brooke Poling, Alex Earley, Mary Kate Life, Andrew Earley, Claire Astorg, Sarah Bond, Allison Cummins, Natasha Combs, Spring Culler, Devin Ayers, Tanner Tucker, Nathan Tucker, Delilah Reiter, Lily Hopkins, Annabel Hopkins, Enzo Reiter, and Harmony Robinette, Zain and several great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Leslie Cummins, and his son, Lawrence E. “Woody” Cummins.
