Linda Joy Sturgill

Linda Joy Sturgill, 75, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2026. Born on December 29, 1950, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, she was the beloved daughter of James and Winona Azeltine.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; her son, James Sturgill; her brother, Larry Azeltine; and her sister-in-law and best friend, Sue Dougherty.

She leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory: her daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Craig Blank; her sister, Sherri (Danny) Savage; her brothers, Ron (Krista) Azeltine and Frank Azeltine; her grandchildren, Corey Blank and Emily (Gerad) Weeks; and her great-grandchildren, Aiden Rose and Scarlett Weeks. She is also survived by her fiancé, Gene Congrove; many nieces, nephews, and extended family members; and her former husband and friend, Robert Sturgill.

Linda was a familiar and welcoming face to much of the community during her years managing Rax Restaurant on Memorial Drive and later both Tim Hortons locations. Linda truly never met a stranger. Her warmth, kindness, and welcoming spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on March 21, 2026 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at the VFW Post 3761 located at 2155 Reynoldsburg-Baltimore Rd NW, Baltimore, OH.
