Lois Elaine Hughes

Lois “Elaine” Hughes, 79 of Galloway, Oh passed away May 13th, 2025.

Elaine is preceded in death by her parents, Gladys & Gene Boyce and sister Andrea Luna. She leaves behind her daughter Kristen (Rob) Baird, Grandchildren Tyler (Kaitlyn) Baird, Holly Baird, Riley Baird, Cassidy Baird, Tervell Jones; great grandchildren Jameson & Tatum Reed and Ameera AlJamal.

Elaine grew up on the Hilltop (Westside) and was a large part of the community through the 90’s. Owning New York New York Salon Boutique on Sullivant Ave for over a decade.

Elaine & her Salon was featured in the Accent Page of the Columbus Dispatch many times for her innovations in hair & skin & her contributions to the community. Elaine would host monthly free shampoo & cuts for the homeless community & also giving them donations of food.

Elaine loved the Lord with such a great zeal always laughing and happy even when times were hard, she often would share the love of Jesus with others – uplifting and prayers and lead many souls to Jesus. She was a member of the Potters House Church of God, Columbus Ohio
