Lynda R. Frederick

Lynda R. Frederick passed away at the age of 85, in residence at Laurels Nursing home in Worthington, OH Sept. 3rd 2026, after a long battle with cancer, with family at her side.

She Was born Linda Sue Mac Farlan 9/8/1940 to Ferne (Kurtz) and George P. Macfarlan of North Canton, OH.

After high school she travelled to California to pursue acting, married Irving Rifkin, DDS and had their daughter, Wendy in 1962.

After her return to Canton, OH she married Jerome William Frederick, Jr and resided there until their relocation to Dublin, OH in 1975.

Lynda enjoyed movies, shopping, beautifying their home, and the friendship of coworkers where she worked in temporary employment placement and as a floor nurse in hospitals and nursing homes.

She is predeceased by her mother, father, sister, Rita (Glenn) Hartzell, stepson, Jerome William Frederick III -Trey(Terry), and her husband, Jerome W. Frederick Jr.

Lynda is survived by her daughter, Wendy (Claudio) Kempa of Defuniak Springs, FL, brother- in- law, Glenn Hartzell (Gerry), niece & nephew, Keith Hartzell (Kristina), and Kristen (Brian) Hinshaw, as well as great- nephew and nieces, Nico, Mira, and Lexi.

A private graveside service is being held 10 Nov, 2026 at Sunset Hills Memory Garden in Canton, OH.
