Michael “Mike” Ivan Brown, age 78, of Marysville, Ohio, passed away peacefully in hospice care on Thursday, June 12th 2025.
He was born in Nashville, Tennessee, and was the son of the late Ivan Brown and Myrna (Hansen) Brown.
He attended Franklin High School in Franklin, Tennessee, where he was a member of the boxing team and graduated in 1966. He proudly served as a Petty Officer and Signalman in the United States Navy from June 14, 1966, to June 13, 1972, and was stationed at Beachmaster Unit Two, Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek in Norfolk, Virginia. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and remained a proud member of the American Legion.

While he was a resident of Marysville for 55 years, Mike remained a Tennessean at heart. He made friends from all walks of life with his warm smile and quick sense of humor. Anyone who knew Mike knew his love for coffee and anything sweet- especially donuts, his favorite. Mike enjoyed practical jokes, fishing, miniature golf, and sight-seeing. He lived a humble and hardworking life, devoted to the people he loved.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan and Myrna Brown, and his sister, Becky Anthony.
He is survived by his brothers, Phil and Danny; his sisters, Corrine and Bonnie; his longtime partner, Sandy; his daughter, Kelly Wagner; his son-in-law, Neal; and his granddaughter, Eve.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Details will be shared with family and friends when available. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to assist with expenses related to his recent passing and to support Sandy while she navigates through this difficult time.
