Michael McIlwain

Michael Lynn (Mike) McIlwain, age 71, passed away on November 22, 2025 at his home in Thornville, Ohio. Mike was born to the late Woodrow (Woody) McIlwain and the late Rubye Lee Powe McIlwain in Columbus, Ohio. Mike was mourning the death of his brother Ken, who passed away earlier this year. He is survived by his brother Ray. He will be missed by his brother, his six nieces and nephews, his sisters-in-law, his Uncle Bill, and many friends and cousins.

Mike engaged in several types of jobs throughout his life. He was particularly skilled in operating large machinery and in doing mechanic work. He could work on almost anything with a motor. His family and friends could always count on him to keep their vehicles running well.

A small celebration of his life is tentatively planned for the coming spring.
