Mickey Joe Paugh

Mickey Joe Paugh, 81, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2026. A lifelong Columbus resident, Mickey attended West High School and The Ohio State University.

Mickey proudly served in the National Guard and the United States Army. He spent many years working at Lennox Industries, where he built lasting relationships with those around him.

Mickey was a lifelong learner with a curious mind and a wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed reading and writing poetry and he was unbeatable at trivia games. His love of words, stories, and knowledge was a reflection of the thoughtful and inquisitive person he was.

Mickey was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Susan (Miley) Paugh, and his parents, Charles and Geraldine Paugh.

He is survived by his children, Julie Paugh and Jason Paugh (Christine); four grandsons, Matthew, Gage, Jacob, and Joseph; his significant other, Mardelle Hixson; and his sister, Diane. He will be remembered and deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
