Nancy Rose (Baughman) Allen
Nancy Rose (Baughman) Allen, 85, passed away on October 16, 2026. She was a beloved sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Nancy was born in Mansfield, Ohio, on June 7, 1941. She always had plenty of stories to share about her childhood and the wonderful memories she made growing up with her family. Some of her fondest memories included attending Sunday church services followed by a homemade family meal. She loved helping her mother prepare for those Sunday dinners and treasured the many family gatherings spent with her brothers, Tom and Jim, and her cousins.
Nancy was a woman of many talents and endless creativity. She was a hairdresser, seamstress, talented artist, and gifted quilter. For many years, she taught quilting lessons in McConnelsville, Ohio. Her beautiful quilts traveled throughout Ohio and earned numerous Best of Show awards. She also loved drawing and painting, and her artwork was featured at several art festivals. Nancy had a special love for flowers and gardening, and she spent many years working as a florist. She also loved cooking and baking and was especially known for hosting wonderful Thanksgiving gatherings for her family. Whether creating something beautiful with her hands or preparing a meal for those she loved, Nancy had a gift for making everything special.
Nancy was a woman of deep and abiding faith. She loved reading and studying the Bible, taught Sunday School for many years, and found joy in singing in the church choir. Those who knew Nancy could always count on her prayers. Her strong belief in eternal life brought her great comfort, especially during her final months.
Above all, Nancy cherished being a homemaker and a mother to Amy and Brad. Her home on Main Street was a welcoming place where all the kids loved to gather. There was always a well-stocked refrigerator and pantry, and no one ever had to worry about finding something to eat. She adored her grandchildren and delighted in spending time with them playing games, working on puzzles, crafting, baking, and reading stories. She also loved sharing stories of her own life, passing along memories and traditions that will be treasured for generations. Her love for her grandchildren knew no bounds, and each held an incredibly special place in her heart.
Nancy was preceded in death by her father, Howard Baughman; her mother, Rose Baughman; and her brother, Tom Baughman.
She is survived by her brother, Jim (Rochelle) Baughman of Mansfield, Ohio; her daughter, Amy (Roy) Wiff of Galena, Ohio; and her son, Bradley Beer of Columbus, Ohio.
