Nicholas Edward John

Nicholas Edward John, 59, of St. Louis, MO Passed Away on Monday April 28th, 2025.

He was born December 17th in Kirkwood, MO 1965 and was the 4th and youngest son of the late James (Jim) John and Mary née Syron John.

Nicholas (Nick) was a graduate of St. John Vianney High School in Kirkwood, MO, as well as holding Bachelor's degrees in Physics and Mathematics from Creighton University, a Master's degree from Purdue University in Physics, and an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis Olin School of Business. Nick was an optical engineer, holding patents on ophthalmological laser probe designs. Nick loved to read, with a special interest in wild animals. He was a great cook, with his specialties being his cioppino and duck. He was an athlete and coach; he wrestled and played football in high school, he was a marathon runner, and he coached elementary school basketball for his kids. While his golf game was not exactly up to par, he was extremely proud of the hole-in-one he shot.

Nick will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Nick is survived by his 3 children, August (Augie) John, Mia John, and Liam John; as well as his three elder brothers, Peter John, Paul John, and Patrick John.
