On January 9, 2026, Pamela Mae Green, age 61, began the next chapter in her grand adventure and departed this world. She was surrounded by her children, her children-in-law, and her grandchildren—who she would be the first to tell you were the most important thing in the world to her.
Pam (and only Pam—never Pamela) was born on November 15, 1964, to Fred and Carole Green (later Carole Green Campbell). She lived in Conneaut, Ohio the majority of her life, and was a student of Conneaut High School, where she formed several friendships that she still cherished to this day.
As a young adult, Pam worked in various factories, doing what she could to support her family, while also finding time to appreciate life to its fullest. Eventually, tired of the factory life, she decided to make the difficult choice for a single mother of two, and became a full-time student while also a full-time employee; although she struggled at times, she was determined, and in 2004 she received her Bachelor’s degree from Kent State University-Ashtabula.
After graduating, Pam spent her career caring for others. She first worked as a case worker for children, then with adults, and later found her calling as a Direct Support Professional, a role she poured her heart into for the remainder of her working life. She also shared a brief stint working alongside her son as a sterile processing technician, and later worked alongside him again in her role as a D.S.P.
Pam’s favorite things were, at their core, about experiencing life with the people she loved. She loved to travel. She loved reading—always ready for one more chapter, one more book, one more story. And she loved going to the movie theater (mostly for the popcorn) but was always up for watching anything, and seemed to really appreciate a movie that showed her things she’d never seen. She was kind and caring in a way that made people feel safe, seen, and supported—whether they were family, friends, or someone who just needed a steady hand.
Pam is survived by her son, Matthew Green, and her daughter-in-law, Michelle Markielowski Green; her daughter, Samantha Bennett, and son-in-law, Nathan Dwyer; and her grandchildren, Christian, Brendyn, Jaxon, and Arella—who were her pride and joy. She is also survived by her sister, Cindy (Green) Frampton; her brother, Fred Green and sister-in-law Betty Green; her sister, Christine (Green) Potts and brother-in-law Brian Potts; her brother, Joseph Green; numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews; and, last but not least, her beloved dog, Hudson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred Green and Carole (Murkens) Green Campbell, and by her brother, John Green.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, beginning at 2:00 p.m., at 2525 Cincinnati–Zanesville Rd. SW., in Lancaster, Ohio. Another memorial will be held in Conneaut at a later date.
