Patricia Ann Grounds, 79, Beloved Matriarch of Mount Vernon Family, Passes AwayPatricia Ann Grounds of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 26, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. 

She was 79 years old and cherished by all who knew her for her warmth, strength, and devotion to her family.Patricia was born on April 1, 1946, in Cleburne, Texas, to Joseph and Lessie Turner, who preceded her in death. She was raised in Venus, Texas, where she attended Venus Independent Schools and was a member of the United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Lessie Turner; her sisters, Michele Harowicz, Sharon Harwood, and Pamela Ruckelshausen; her daughter-in-law, Luanne Grounds; and her granddaughter, Christina Paddy.

Patricia is lovingly remembered by her sister, Susan Byra; her brother, Stephen Paszkiewicz; her sons, Jimmy Grounds and John Grounds (Marjorie); and her daughter, Kathryn Arvin. She also leaves behind her cherished granddaughter, Jennifer Paddy; great-grandchildren, Lilliana Paddy (fiancé Xavian Schultz), Trinity Paddy, and Liam Cox; and great-great-grandson, Christopher Schultz. Patricia is also survived by her trusted companion, Chance, her beloved dog.

Patricia found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved sewing, reading, and working on word puzzles, but above all, she treasured the time she spent with her great-grandchildren and great-great-grandson, who brought her immense pride and happiness.Patricia will be remembered for her strength, her deep love of family, and the quiet, steady presence she brought to those who knew her. Her warmth, kindness, and devotion will be forever cherished, and she will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
