Patrick Thomas Regan

October 24, 1947 — May 12, 2024

Patrick "Pat" Regan, a cherished soul for his vibrant and infectious personality, passed away at his home on May 12, 2024, in Heath, Ohio, at the age of 76. Born on October 24, 1947, in Newark, Ohio, Pat's life was one of joy, service, and love-a testament to the remarkable person he was.

Pat's early years in Newark, laid the foundation for a life filled with enthusiasm and a sense of community. After proudly serving in the United States Army, he worked at DSCC in Columbus, where he dedicated many years before retiring. His colleagues remember him as a man of integrity, humor, and made every workday brighter. Patrick also worked as a barber, bringing smiles and warm conversations to all who sat in his chair.

Outside of work, Pat was a man of many passions and interests, his love for the outdoors was evident to anyone who knew him. Whether hiking through the woods, riding his Harley, or paddling down a river, Pat was in his element. Pat's adventurous spirit, led him to the snowy slopes for skiing, the dartboard for a friendly game, and the billiards table for a round of pool, Pat's musical talent was shared through the notes of his harmonica, and his competitive streak shone on the tennis and pickleball courts.

A huge Ohio State Buckeyes fan, Pat's enthusiasm for his team was contagious, and he relished any opportunity to celebrate his beloved Buckeyes. Patrick loved celebrating St. Patty's Day-a fitting holiday for a man named Pat. His love for nature extended to mushroom hunting, a hobby that allowed him to explore and appreciate the beauty of the earth.

Above all, Pat was a devoted family man. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary "Irene" Regan-Davis, and his father, Robert "Bobby" Regan. His step-father, William "Bill" Davis, daughters, Andrea Regan Murphy and Heather Hurtt, sons-in-law, Jay and Rick, and grandchildren, Ayden, Lane, Luke, and Arabella, will forever hold him in their hearts. Pat's significant other, Kim, along with his friends, and family, will miss his presence dearly.

The love Pat had for his family was boundless. His daughters and grandchildren were the light of his life, and the times they spent together were filled with laughter and love. Kim, his partner and confidante, shared in the joys that life with Pat brought. His memory will live on in the stories they tell and the legacy of kindness he leaves behind.

As Helen Keller once said, "What we have once enjoyed deeply we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us." Pat's love for life and those around him, has indeed become a part of the many lives he touched. His life was a life lived to the fullest with every moment and opportunity to spread joy and friendship.

Patrick's memory will be cherished and kept alive not only in the hearts of his loved ones, but also in the laughter, love, and camaraderie he shared with all. He was a bright light in the lives of many, and his spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.

We bid farewell to Patrick "Pat" Regan, a loving father, Pap-Paw, significant other, and friend. His legacy of love, laughter, and warmth will forever be remembered by those whose lives he touched.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
