Rex Bradford Zourdos

July 13, 1956 — April 21, 2026

Rex Bradford Zourdos, 69, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2026, at Country View of Sunbury. He was born on July 13, 1956, in Columbus.

Rex was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanette Bradford. He shared a very special bond with his mother. They were best friends, and her passing affected him deeply. Their connection stayed with him always. His family finds comfort in believing he is with his mother again.

He is survived by daughters Angela Zourdos of Seminole, Fla., and Brittney (Tom) Bailey of Sunbury; grandchildren Gavin, Emily, Maddy, and Sophia; great-grandson Atlas; and brother, Christopher (Samra) Zourdos of Delaware.

Rex was a skilled electrician who took pride in his work and the life he built with his hands. He was quick-witted, creative, and incredibly hard-working. He lived by strong principles, was genuine in every interaction, and was always willing to lend a hand without expecting anything in return. He taught those around him not just through words but through his actions.

As a father, he was deeply loved and respected. He provided guidance, strength, and a steady presence that will continue to shape his family for years to come.

Rex loved working with his hands and found joy in the simple, meaningful things in life. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and taxidermy, and was always tinkering, whether it was his motorcycle, cars, boats, or anything that needed fixing. He created beautiful fish tanks and took great pride in caring for his mastiffs. He also had a deep love for music of all kinds, something that was always a part of his life.

In his final days, there was a quiet sense that time was short. His family was able to spend meaningful time with him, including one last evening that will always be cherished. He passed peacefully, and while the loss is heavy, there is comfort in knowing he is no longer suffering.

The timing of his passing holds deep meaning as he passed on the birthday of his mother and daughter.

A celebration of life will be held at the Harry Buffalo in Westerville on June 14 at noon. All who knew and loved Rex are welcome. We would love to see as many people there as possible to honor the many connections he made over the years.

He will be remembered for his strength, generosity, steady presence, and the lasting impact he had on everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
