It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rick Rasberg on September 29,2024. Rick was born on October 4, 1959 in Reynoldsburg, OH to Kitty and Olle Rasberg, who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years Sharon (Kaser), children Madison, Erik and Max, in-laws Wayne and Gretchen Kaser, Lani and Mark Allison, Bruce and Amy Kaser, nephews Thomas, Robert and Henry Kaser, his beloved dog Walter and many Rasbergs in Sweden.
Rick grew up in Reynoldsburg, where he made lifelong friends and played high school football at RHS. Upon graduating in 1977 he moved to LA to become a stuntman. He was lucky to have been on sets with many stars such as Elizabeth Taylor, Don Johnson, Demi Moore and Bruce Willis. These experiences were the source of many great stories and memories.
He returned to Ohio where he met and married Sharon and they started their family. Over the years he ran several successful businesses and even had a radio show on ESPN, but he defined his life more by the people in it and the great memories they made.
Rick had a wicked sense of humor and very sharp wit. He loved a good meal (not cooked by his wife), the Rolling Stones, the often disappointing Raiders, the Michigan Wolverines (while irritating his family), all animals and most of all his family, who he was ferociously proud of.
In lieu of services he wanted to go back to the beach and for his friends and family to laugh and tell inappropriate jokes in his honor. Instead of flowers consider helping a pitbull rescue.
